Welcome to Fancy Corgis!
We are located in Red Rock, Texas, just outside of Austin. We got into the Corgi breeding industry in 2007, after purchasing Derby and Tucker as pups in 2006
We combed the country looking for what we thought were beautiful, small Corgis. We have seen too many Corgis out there that have "grown" to well over 50 pounds! We thought Tucker would stay under 25 lbs, but now that he is a grown, mature boy, he is a perfect 30 lbs.
So, in 2008 I began my search again for "Mini" Corgis. After looking at more than 200, I found Paris & took a chance that she would stay small & beautiful. She did! She weighs in at 12 pounds and couldn't be cuter or sweeter. She's the quietest, most loving Corgi I have ever met.
We raise our pups in our house (much to my husband's dismay) and keep them for at least 8 weeks, usually longer. I like to really get a good head start on these pups for you socializing them and beginning their puppy-pad training. We also take them on the road with us to horse shows & rodeos to get them used to horses, cattle, kids, other dogs, and everything else that comes along.
Ben Benavides is an audio & video producer for Professional Rodeo and Jackie Luizzi is a breeder/trainer of American Sport Ponies. We have a small ranch outside of Austin Texas where we breed and raise Corgis, and in 2010 will add Pomeranians and Min-Pins to that list.
